FAQ
Q1: What is the difference between DC and AC marine air conditioners?
DC marine air conditioners (12V / 24V / 48V) are designed for vessels powered by batteries or solar power. Marine AC air conditioners (110V / 220V) are suited for shore power or generator use. Both series are full variable-frequency inverter models.
Q2: Which marine AC unit is right for me?
Choosing the right marine air conditioner depends on several factors specific to your vessel. General BTU sizing guidelines (rule of thumb — not a substitute for professional calculation):
- Pleasure boats (average use): ~14 BTU per cubic foot
- High sun-exposure areas (pilothouse, helm, unshaded cabins): 16–19 BTU per cubic foot
- Below-deck spaces used mainly at night (staterooms): 10–12 BTU per cubic foot
Key factors that affect your load calculation include cabin size and volume, the number and size of windows, the amount of direct sunlight, insulation quality, the number of people typically on board, and heat-generating equipment such as electronics and cooking appliances.
For the most accurate sizing, we recommend referring to your boat manufacturer's original specifications. You're also welcome to contact us directly — our team can help match the right unit to your vessel.
Q3: Can I control the unit remotely?
Yes. All units include built-in WiFi smart control, allowing remote temperature adjustment and system monitoring via a mobile app.
Q4: What is included in the package?
- 1 × Marine Air Conditioner Unit
- 1 × Thermostat Controller
Q5: Do I need any other items for my installation?
That depends on your vessel and how the unit will be installed. Each unit comes with the core components needed to get the system running:
- 1 × Marine Air Conditioner Unit
- 1 × Thermostat Controller
Additional items such as a seawater pump, ducting, grilles, and filters are not included, as requirements vary by vessel type and cabin layout. These will need to be sourced separately to complete your installation. If you are replacing an existing unit, the current setup may be compatible and reusable.
Q6: What after-sales support is provided?
All units come with a 1-year remote warranty, installation guides, video tutorials, access to spare parts, and remote technical assistance.
